Features

  • Solid carbide tools offer long tool life and faster cutting speeds than other substrates, but are more brittle and must be used with rigid toolholding systems
  • Titanium aluminum nitride coatings become self-lubricating when used at very high speeds, making them ideal for cutting without coolant ("dry machining")
  • Straight flute tools allow chips to collect in the flutes as they cut and are well suited for most applications in shallow cuts
  • Right-hand cut tools have a cutting action that engages when they are run in a clockwise direction
  • Made to DIN standards for length, for longer lengths and greater reach than regular ANSI (Inch) or ISO (Metric) length taps
